New Models Arriving for 2016

2016 Fiat 500X

Every year we see a great new lineup of vehicles coming from a variety of manufacturers. We are in awe as the new technology is showcased at several auto shows and the shiny new models (we like shiny) are presented for us to imagine what these vehicles would look like in our driveways along with how much we might actually enjoy driving any one of the new models presented at these various shows. Every year new technology is presented from the new connectivity of the integrated electronics to the use of lighter materials to give these vehicles the ability to perform better and even the use of better super and turbo chargers to pull out as much power as possible from these vehicles.

Of course we can’t leave out the hybrids, which not too long ago, were thought of as a fad that might go away, but now are being used to boost power on some seriously high powered models around the world (take the Porsche 918 for example). It appears hybrid power is here to stay and as it is improved upon each year, the ability to create a vehicle with a hybrid powertrain that can offer a better all electric range than the ones presented the previous year seems to be the goal. Eventually we will see cars that can make a cross country trip on all-electric power, which will really be the height of the hybrid phenomenon.

As the excitement stirs for these new models that have been unveiled at several different auto shows for the past two years, the new lineup for 2016 looks like this:

  • Acura NSX
  • Audi Q7
  • Audi R8 V10
  • Audi TT
  • Buick Cascada
  • Cadillac ATS-V
  • Cadillac CT6
  • Cadillac CTS-V
  • Chevrolet Camaro
  • Chevrolet Cruze
  • Chevrolet Malibu
  • Chevrolet Spark
  • Chevrolet Volt
  • Fiat 500X
  • Ford Mustang GT350
  • Honda Civic

  • Hyundai Tucson
  • Infiniti Q60 Coupe
  • Jaguar XF

  • Mazda CX-3
  • Mazda MX-5 Miata
  • Mercedes-Benz GLE-Coupe
  • Mercedes-Benz Metris
  • Mercedes-Maybach S600
  • Nissan Maxima
  • Nissan Titan
  • Porsche Boxster Spyder
  • Scion iA
  • Scion iM
  • Smart Fortwo
  • Toyota Mirai
  • Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
  • Toyota Tacoma
  • Volvo S60 Cross Country
  • Volvo XC90

With a lineup like this who could help themselves from being excited for the new model year. Of course there are plenty of European supercars that are going to be new, as they are practically every year, but most of them are well out of the general price range for many of us, but this list offers some awesome vehicles to choose from that will certainly give us a chance to step back and figure out which one is our favorite, or which one will suit our needs the most.

Currently, I’m excited to see the new Civic with its top of the line performance in the Type-R, but I have also always marveled at good old American muscle and am looking forward to the Mustang and the Camaro as well. The cool thing about a list like this is there is something on there for everyone to enjoy, whether it’s a new luxury model, a work van for the company, a hybrid model, smaller car models, SUVs, and even the ultra-top of the line chauffeured model, there is a great vehicle just waiting for you to give it the attention it needs.
