Who Loves a Renegade?

Renegade

While they might not want to admit it by trying to maintain a ladylike appearance of properness, many women find a bad boy, renegade, maverick or whatever you want to call someone who steps away from the norm on the movie or TV screens, very attractive. The Jeep Renegade may not look like the bad boy of the Jeep lineup, that might be better suited for the Wrangler, but the Renegade is an attractive small SUV that offers a great deal of awesome features and capability for us to fully admire.

The Renegade comes in a few great versions and one that seems to be a favorite is the Sport model that shows up at one of the lowest prices in the industry for an SUV at $20,990. For that price you can have a vehicle that offers enough capability to take on Moab and come out smiling on the other end. Knowing this model can handle such a challenge and still offer a great deal of fuel efficiency.

Instead of being a Jeep or other model you would be concerned about tearing up on the off road areas, the Renegade shows up with steel wheels, black plastic body cladding and a manual transmission, all parts that are easy enough to change out and replace, giving you the comfort of challenging this vehicle to do anything you want it to do, and that can be quite a lot out on the trails. Yes the Sport at the low price is one that has very little in the way of features and equipment, but adding power mirrors, aluminum wheels and air conditioning will bring the price up to just above the $23,000 mark. This still keeps the Renegade at a price that you won’t mind roughing up a bit and enjoying the amazing drive in the areas off the road.

Even though much of the Renegade Sport seams less expensive than many other models the engine is a fully modernized turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder model that offers up 160 horsepower. This may not seem like enough, but with this small and mighty vehicle this engine can really do the job. Of course there is another engine option as well, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder offering that is mated instead to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Sport model is actually about 300 pounds lither than the Limited model, making it easier to get up to the speeds desired.

No matter what you may have thought of this small Jeep offering before, the Renegade truly makes a great choice when you need an off road vehicle that can really give you the performance you desire in a small SUV. As a vehicle that offers you a great deal of fuel efficiency as well the Renegade is a phenomenal choice in off roading and shows up with enjoyable looks and materials that will not be hard to live with when you have to replace a part after a fun off the pavement excursion.
