The Jeep Patriot is a Small Trail Rider

2016 Jeep Patriot

The size of SUVs has gotten smaller and smaller over the years and more vehicles are in the compact crossover SUV segment including the Jeep Patriot.  The Patriot is the smallest of the Jeep models and offers a great look feel and drive that allows you to enjoy the drive of this great little SUV out on the road or through the trails and hills that are meant for fun and relaxation.  When you want to head out to your favorite fishing spot, or find a camping area that no one else knows about, the Jeep Patriot is a great choose to take for the ride.

We all know what a Jeep looks like with the signature front end that features the seven-slot grill and the round-eye headlights that have been the signature look for many years.  While many other SUVs are gaining more curves, the Patriot maintains its square shape that appears to be a box on wheels that has fantastic ground clearance in order to offer the best way to enjoy a ride off the road and onto areas that are meant to only be gotten to if you have four-wheel drive, which is offered on the Patriot.

On the inside the Patriot has been upgraded to add a new steering wheel with the available steering wheel mounted audio controls.  There are plenty of great softer materials used on this new SUV and a cavernous center console to hold some necessary stuff for you.  The cruise control is standard and there are a few different trim levels you can select in order to have the Patriot you want; Sport, Latitude or Latitude X all of which offer front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive to be used for whatever you can put the Patriot through.

Power comes from a well performing 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that offers up 158 horsepower and 141 lb.-ft. of torque.  This power is attached to a well-performing continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that helps this Jeep offer a fuel mileage that ranges from 22 city on up to 30 hwy mpg depending upon the overall setup of the powertrain.  With this power and all the great features the Patriot shows up at a price range of $17,295 to $24,525 making it one of the absolutely most affordable vehicles on the road today.  It’s really hard to find an SUV for under $20,000 and the Patriot is a fantastic one even at the base price to allow those shopping on a budget have a great Jeep to enjoy.

The Jeep Patriot is a nice choice when you want a reasonably priced SUV that offers a lot of capability and makes it so you can have some of the most fun in a vehicle.  Whether your destination of choice is a ski resort, the beach, a lake, or some far off camping area you will be glad you have chosen the Patriot to take you there.  The fuel efficiency and dynamic driving ability make this an SUV that will give you what you need and offer enough space for up to five to ride inside along with their gear.
