The Cadillac Brand is Ready to Move Forward

Cadillac CTS

Luxury auto brand, Cadillac, appears to be heading in a different direction regarding a few of their sedan models.
While it may be difficult to keep up with the different letter and number names of models offered from a variety of brands, many luxury brands continue to offer us these streamlined and reduced names for the vehicles we drive. Cadillac loves to use three letters or two letters and a number for the models we’ve seen recently. Two sedans that have been part of the lineup for several years and have carried the sedan side of the Cadillac brand aren’t long for the market and will be replaced in the next few years.

For the 2020 model year, we expect the new Cadillac CT5 to be oared to make sure we can have a sedan that fits in the lineup below the flagship model of the CT6 to give us a midsize sedan we’re going to love to drive. The new CT5 is expected to replace both the ATS and CTS sedans which will only continue on as the sporty models of the ATS-V and CTS-V that we love to enjoy out on the tracks when it’s time for fun and active driving. The new CT5 has been spotted on the GM proving grounds in Milford, MI which brings us to this conversation.

What Can We Expect in the New Cadillac CT5?

This new sedan is expected to bring in a heavy dose of the Cadillac Escala concept influence to give us the look and feel we want to enjoy when it’s time to drive. The headlights, window framing, and fastback shape are details that we saw on the Escala when it showed itself as one of the most attractive concept models we’ve ever seen. More Escala inspiration can be expected as we see the prototypes ride themselves of the camouflage in the upcoming months.
While this is a car that’s still in the early stages of development, it’s a car that can make use of a variety of excellent powertrain options to make sure we can enjoy the quality and the drive offered. We may see the 2.0-liter engine under the hood along with the excellent performance we love of the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that’s been a supreme performance engine. It’s also possible that we might enjoy the power of the 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that can be right for the drive in a model of the CT5 that’s built to be an excellent sports version of the car.
the smaller engines could be paired with the 48-volt mild hybrid system while the car is also going to be set up in RWD for the standard layout with the option of AWD when you want more for the drive. Expect to see the ten-speed automatic transmission offered for this car when it arrives on the market sometime in 2019.
The deletion of the ATS and CTS sedans was inevitable, especially with the development of the new CT5 model that will be offered by the 2020 model year for us to have this sublime Cadillac luxury.
