New Honda Vehicles Are In Short Supply

Honda is one of the carmakers being hit hardest by production and distribution issues. However, used and certified pre-owned Honda models can offer many of the same features and performance factors as a new Honda car, SUV, or truck. Let’s look at some popular Honda models that can be found with many of the current options and styling.

Used Honda HR-V

The used Honda HR-V is a great option among Honda vehicles for getting many of the same features as a brand new model. The 2022 HR-V is part of the first generation that was introduced in 2016. There have been very few significant changes between that first model year and the 2022 models. However, the 2019 model year did see a refresh, so if you’re looking for a used Honda HR-V, that model year will get you the newest features compared to others.

Used Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V is one of Honda’s oldest SUVs, and it now falls into the compact crossover category. Currently, the CR-V is in its fifth generation as of the 2017 model year. A refreshed version of the popular crossover came out in 2019, which means that you can comfortably go back a few years and still have most of the same features that would be in a new Honda CR-V. The Honda CR-V does hold its value very well though, so the price drop isn’t huge compared to new models. However, if you’re on a budget, you can go back pretty far on the used CR-V and still get a very reliable vehicle.

Used Honda Accord

The Honda Accord remains one of the most popular cars in America and is now in its tenth generation, which began for the 2018 model year. If you’re having trouble finding a brand new Honda Accord, you can rest assured that the earlier years of this generation have most of the same features. Only a small facelift occurred in 2021, but it did include the discontinuation of the manual transmission. If you’re a fan of the stick, you’ll need to look at the 2018 through 2020 models.

Used Honda Civic

Like the Accord, the Honda Civic is undoubtedly one of Honda’s most popular models. The beloved compact car is now in its 11th generation, which began in 2021. However, the previous tenth generation of the Civic included a facelift for the 2019 model year, and the features offered weren’t much different from what’s in new models now. The good news too is that the Honda Civic is one of the most reliable Honda models, so you can’t go wrong with any generation.
If the new selection is low at your local Honda dealer, you can find some great options on the pre-owned market like the used Honda HR-V, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, and many others. Honda makes some of the most reliable vehicles on the planet, so even many older models are still on the road and going strong.
