This new trim level will be called the High Desert and will be offered on the LT, LTZ and High Country trim levels giving you a new package of features you can enjoy. This new package will feature lockable storage bins that are mounted over the steel bed walls. These cargo bins are also water resistant in nature to give you a place to keep items we need on a regular basis because these bins will be easily accessible. Enjoying a great place to have the tools and features you need from a truck in a much better system for storage will make your enjoyment of this new High Desert trim.
Not only will you have the cargo storage areas along the sides of the Chevy Silverado but this new truck will have a three-piece tonneau cover that will also act as a cargo divider in the bed of the truck. With this cover and the cargo spaces you will be able to carry and protect the cargo you need to take with you along the way to your job site or to whatever destination you have for the equipment and cargo you have in your truck.
The Silverado will also now come with the magnetic ride control suspension system that will be offered on the Silverado High Desert when it’s in the High Country trim level. This suspension was also only offered on the GMC previously and now it will be part of the Silverado as well. Not only will you be able to enjoy a High Desert model to be able to enjoy the ride and the storage bins but you will also be able to enjoy some larger wheels under the truck. This truck model will offer twenty-inch wheels as the starting point for this model and these wheels will be fitted with all-season tires.
As another upgrade for this new model of the Silverado 22-inch wheels will be available for this new truck style that will come in the three different trims. This truck will be perfect for those customers who need to have lockable cargo areas and a flexible truck bed but want it in the Silverado. The flexibility offered on the new High Desert model fills a huge amount of needs that truck owners have for a vehicle that offers the added cargo options that are perfect for taking the truck to the job site or using it as a great daily driver.
