The cars that are able to drive at top speeds which exceed 200 mph are extremely expensive. The technology and equipment needed to safely reach this speed make the price jump to astronomical numbers. If you set your goals on a number at a little lower such as 150 mph you will find you have plenty of great choices that are all affordable. It’s worth it to be able to drive this fast in a large luxury car though.
Nissan 300ZX Turbo – This is a car that could easily reach 153 mph and you can find one for around $10,000. As a Z car you know this car to be extremely capable and attractive, giving you one of the most enjoyed series of sports cars to ever make its way to the market. As an affordable way to reach the 150 mph mark the 300 ZX Turbo is a great choice for you and the driving excitement you want to be able to experience.
Pontiac GTO – The GTO is considered to be one of the cars that made a comeback but wasn’t quite as respected as the original version of the car. With 340 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque this is a car that easily reaches 160 mph which should come as no surprise. This isn’t going to be a cheap find though because there are some who still love this car and they have kept their value well.
