We’ve been waiting for the day that the Hyundai Veloster will finally live up to the idea that it’s supposed to be a sports car. That day may finally be here as the 2019 model makes its way to the market to give us the excitement and the quality we want to enjoy when it’s time to head out on the road for a great ride. Since it arrived on the market for the first generation, we’ve wondered what the Veloster was and how it could live up to what it’s supposed to be.
For the 2019 model year, it seems the power we’ve been looking for in this car will finally arrive. Whether you’re looking for the first of the N sub-brand models to be offered, which will be the Veloster N that will arrive later this year, or you’re ready to take the turbo model out for a spin, this car looks like a lot of fun, but it also has a variety of excellent features to make it a car that can be driven every day with the roomy trunk, useful backseat, and comfortable position where you’re going to love the drive you make every day.
Look inside the cabin of this car and you’re going to see some amazing upgrades that include an impeccable assembly with simplicity and elegance matched with a sportiness you’re sure to love. The look you’ll see when you drive is a set of clear white on black gauges and the touchscreen infotainment system that brings you the tech qualities you want to enjoy when you drive. Every trim of this car can be identified easily by the different upholstery options and the color that you’re going to see in the seats and dashboard to give you the look and feel you want to enjoy.
Getting Down to the Performance
Later this year, the Veloster N will show up and give us 275 horsepower from under the hood. Right now, the top trim and performance model is the Veloster Turbo which makes use of a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to offer you 201 horsepower for the drive. This car also benefits from a tuned up suspension, summer tires, and other performance pieces that make it more exciting to drive than the base model. Get in and take this beauty for a drive and you’re sure to admire what it gives you on the road.
If you do choose to drive the base model of the Veloster, you’re going to have a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine that offers you 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque. This car does have a chassis that’s dynamic and enjoyable on the road and with the benefit if excellent fuel mileage, this might be the version of the Veloster that will be the one you’re going to want to drive. Not only is the base model more efficient, it’s more affordable than you might expect when you’re looking for a great drive.
The Veloster Continues the Drive
We can’t just talk about performance items in a short conversation when it comes to this car. The Hyundai Veloster shows up with the 2.0 Premium R-Spec model that comes with a six-speed manual transmission while the Turbo model can be had with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic. The top model, the Turbo Ultimate, which is loaded to the gills, brings you a six-speed manual option if you want to experience this transmission when you drive. Every Turbo model has thicker anti-roll bars for the suspension to make the right as much as fifteen percent stiffer.
While the Hyundai Veloster is one of the only models on the market to offer you an odd three-door layout for passenger entry, it’s finally going to be the sports car it’s supposed to be. Take a look at this incredible car when you visit your nearby Hyundai dealership. This car is one that will let you have the drive you’re looking for when you want some excitement in your daily ride. Take a test drive and see if this car can be the one you want. If you’re looking for more performance from the Veloster, wait a few more months and the Veloster N will arrive.
