A Few Changes Worth Noting
The Kia Telluride won’t see any significant changes for the 2025 model year, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing new. Let’s take a look at what’s different.
The Kia Telluride made its debut in 2020 and received a complete refresh in 2023, so it should come as no surprise that it’s not undergoing any significant changes for 2025. However, the automaker has made a few improvements that buyers may want to know about.
Enhanced Performance in the Kia Telluride X-Pro AWD
Every 2025 Kia Telluride has a 291-hp naturally aspirated V-6 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission beneath its hood, and the automaker has made AWD available across the lineup.
Performance has not been an issue for daily driving. However, the design team decided there was some room for improvement in the Kia Telluride X-Pro AWD, the popular SUV’s off-road-focused model.
Design tweaks create a minor increase in ground clearance of 10mm and a 500 lb increase in towing capacity in X-Pro AWD models, making them even more capable as family-oriented adventure vehicles.
Some Trim Levels Get Interior and Exterior Enhancements
Both the Kia Telluride X-Line and X-Pro models have gotten some interior upgrades. They now have Terracotta interior coloring with embossed front seats.
Even more exciting, the two trim levels get some tech upgrades for 2025. Buyers will notice that they now feature standard 12.3-inch dual-screen integrated displays, plus Digital Key 2 Touch. These features are optional on the SX trim.
The X-Line and X-Pro trims also get some exterior style enhancements. They now come standard with Gloss Black accents, including emblems and roof rails.
New Standard Safety Features for All Trims
One of the reasons the Kia Telluride is so popular is that it comes standard with a wealth of features, including 17 advanced driver-assist features. Now, all Kia Telluride models also have an additional passive safety measure. They all get second-row side airbags for 2025.
All models also get an upgrade to their driver assistance suites. For 2025, the Kia Telluride gets upgraded to Highway Safety Assist 1.5. This extra set of advanced safety features kicks in automatically when drivers use Smart Cruise Control with Lane Following Assist.
HSA 1.5 shows drivers important information about their vehicles and others on the road when driving under 60 mph on highways. That information includes set speed, distance to the car ahead, target vehicle-to-vehicle distance, and whether Lane Following Assist is activated.
2025 Kia Telluride Offers Fantastic Value for the Money
The 2025 Kia Telluride has a starting MSRP of just $36,190, allowing it to compete with mainstream brands despite featuring materials, design cues, and standard features more analogous to luxury SUVs, especially in the higher trim levels.
Kia may not have made any dramatic changes for the 2025 model year, but the new features and design choices described above show the automaker’s ongoing commitment to excellence. The Telluride continues to improve year after year.
