The upgraded model is a 2.7-liter V6 that increases this power to 315 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque for the ride you want. This model of the Ford Edge is considered the first performance crossover from Ford and it brings you the power you want with an increase for the V6 engine to 335 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque. This new power is aided by a sports suspension, larger brakes, and a new eight-speed automatic transmission to make sure you can have the sporty feeling you want in this new version of the Ford Edge.
Cool Tech You Can Choose
This Ford Edge does come with the items you expect when it comes to safety which includes Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Lane Departure Warnings. You’ll also find some items you can choose for the Ford Edge including a front 180-degree camera that can be used at slow speeds that allows you to see more clearly around corners. This new camera even has a washer to clean it off when it gets dirty.

Fuel Mileage
If you’re looking for an SUV that offers you higher levels of fuel efficiency, you’ll want to choose a smaller SUV than the Ford Edge. Even though this SUV has automatic start/stop it still only registers a combined rating of 24 mpg for the base engine. While this number isn’t awful, there are more efficient SUVs in the Ford lineup if this is an important factor in your driving experience.
Sync Still Rough
The Sync infotainment system has been upgraded and improved over the past few evolutions, but it still needs to be improved even farther. For the most part, you won’t have any issues, but there are other times when it can be difficult to have the responsiveness you want and need.
Handling
The Ford Edge is a midsize SUV and it’s not mean to be pushed like a race car. Keep that in mind and the handling will be just fine for what you need to do when you drive on the road.
