2022 Dodge Durango’s Features: What Stayed and What’s New?

2022 Dodge Durango

You can find plenty of mid-size three-row SUVs on the market, but there’s only one Dodge Durango. This SUV has more attitude and muscle than all its competitors, and it comes in a wide variety of trim levels, so there’s one for every driver. The 2022 Durango is ready and waiting for you at your Dodge dealership. Stop by and take a look.

The Power You Know and Love

While the 2022 Durango arrived with several updates, you get the same performance driven powertrains. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 with 360 horsepower, and while this is plenty of power for most drivers, it’s only the beginning. You can get even more with one of the available V-8s. The 5.7-liter V-8 makes it feel like you’re driving a muscle car with the functionality of an SUV, and the 6.4-liter V-8 is just a plain blast to drive. Get behind the wheel with this engine and you’ll have more fun than you thought possible in a family crossover.

Updated Safety Features Come Standard

The 2022 Durango comes with more standard safety features than ever. Even if you want to stick to the base SXT model, you’ll now get front and rear parking sensors, a blind-spot monitor, and rear-cross traffic alert.

The optional Plus Group to the GT or the R/T has more safety features for 2022 too. It now comes with adaptive cruise control, an advanced braking assist system, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Adding this group means you don’t have to think about turning your windshield wipers on and off when it starts to sprinkle, because it now comes with rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Say Goodbye to the SRT Hellcat

You’ll have to say goodbye to the Durango SRT Hellcat in 2022. It’s being discontinued, so if you want to grab one, you can stick with the 2021 model. The good news is that the SRT 392 lives on. It is just as outrageous as the Hellcat and comes with a HEMI V-8 with 475 horsepower. It has many of the same features as the Hellcat, including the Brembo brakes, SRT performance-tuned steering, and Dodge’s high-performance suspension.

More Features, More Convenience

If the standard 8.4-inch touch screen isn’t large enough, you can now get an updated version of the Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touch screen. Along with these updates, you’ll still get the Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and the option for a rear-seat entertainment system. Make sure to get to your local Dodge dealership and see these new tech features in the Durango.

The GT sees the most interior changes for 2022. It now has remote start, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats for those chilly morning drives. It also has a new power liftgate, making it easier to access the cargo area.

The 2022 Dodge Durango is better than ever, but the features you love remain the same. You’ll find the latest model at your nearest Dodge dealership.
