If the future of the automotive industry is electric, shouldn’t you know a little about new EVs? Here are a few of the new electric vehicles for 2025 and 2026.
Electric vehicles used to be nothing more than an alternative to the gas-powered models. Tesla was one of the first all-EV names in the industry, while other automakers focused more on creating electric versions of their current vehicles. That time has passed, and new EVs are popping up all over the automotive market.
Here are a few of the new electric vehicles coming to the market in the next couple of years.
Alfa Romeo Giulia EV
This car is an example of an automaker creating an electric version of an already popular car. the Giulia is an exciting and impressive luxury sedan, especially in the Quadrifoglio version. After several years of gas-powered success, Stellantis will give us a new EV version of this luxury sedan. Its likely the new EV model will be related to the Dodge Charger Daytona EV. The two cars could share a platform, but we won’t know for sure until this electric Alfa crosses the stage.
Audi Q6 E-Tron
This Audi has a lot to prove as it enters the EV market. The Q6 E-Tron is the first Audi model built on the new Premium Performance Electric Platform, which is the same being used for the upcoming Porsche Macan EV. This exciting new EV should use a dual-motor electric powertrain that sends 465 horsepower to the wheels. As you might expect, this new electric vehicle line will likely include SQ6, RS Q6, and Sportback to make this new EV more exciting and fun.
Jeep Recon
The all-electric Wrangler isn’t here yet, but we’ll have this new Jeep Recon to hold its place for a while. This new boxy SUV brings Jeep off-road qualities to the EV world. The Recon is built on the STLA Large platform, and it should have many Wrangler characteristics, including removable doors. The Recon earns the Trail Rated Badge, which makes it a silent player on the trails, which would be a different feeling from most SUVs found in the wilderness.
Lucid Gravity
The Lucid Air has been successful enough that the brand is expanding to new electric vehicles, with the Gravity being the next model. This new full-size electric SUV should compete with the Rivian R1S and Tesla Model X at the top of the electric SUV market. The Gravity has a projected driving range of 440 miles, courtesy of the 900-volt architecture, making it one of the quickest-charging EVs in the entire market. With three rows of seats and up to 112 cubic feet of interior space, the Gravity might be one of the most useful electric SUVs offered.
Porsche Macan EV
The most popular Porsche is the Macan and this small SUV is going electric. There will still be a gas-powered model sold, but the focus is on this electric model that brings exciting driving manners and qualities that remind us of this is supposed to be the SUV version of the Porsche 911. The Turbo model could produce as much as 630 horsepower and have a reasonable price until you get to the options that could make this electric SUV unique for you and your driving desires.
Ram 1500 REV
Ram is the last of the Detroit Big Three to enter the EV market with a full-size electric pickup truck. The Ram 1500 REV has been one of the most hotly anticipated new electric vehicles, and it’s expected to be an impressive addition to the market. The REV should provide up to 500 miles of driving range and tow as much as 14,000 pounds. The acceleration of this truck is amazing, taking only 4.4 seconds to reach 60 mph. It might be the last to enter the market, but the Ram 1500 REV could be the first choice for many drivers.
Volkswagen ID.Buzz
The ID.Buzz has been an anticipated model from the first moment that VW announced it would bring back its Microbus in an electric vehicle form. This modern take on the old-school hippie van could be the choice of surfers, adventurers, and anyone looking for a hint of nostalgia in their electric vehicle. The model we’ll have in the United States is the long-wheelbase model with three available trims and up to seven seats.
Could one of these new electric vehicles become the right model for you? Are you looking forward to a new electric truck, SUV, or something interesting like the ID.Buzz.
