Techy Updates for the 2026 Honda CR-V

When you’re already at the top of the list, there’s not much you need to do to improve. This is the case with the 2026 Honda CR-V. When you find the latest model at a Honda dealer, it will have some updated tech in the cabin. This is the most significant change other than a new hybrid trim that’s ready to take on rough terrain.

Updated Tech in All the Cabins

Every 2026 Honda CR-V will now have a nine-inch touchscreen in the center of the dash. This is two inches larger than the standard touchscreen from the previous model year. If you want to sync your phone, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now come standard, so all you need to do is get in and turn on the CR-V. No cords required.
Some trims also get an updated instrument display. It’s now 10.2-inches and fully digital. You can get this updated display in the EX-L, Sport-L, the TrailSport, and the Sport Touring.

Your Friendly Google Assistant Goes Where You Go

Choose the Sport Touring trim and you’ll get Google Built-In. This means that your Google Assistant is always right there with you. Use your voice to ask Google where the closest taco restaurant is and then get directions, so you can find it.
What’s even better about the new CR-V getting Google Built-In is the three-year complimentary unlimited data plan. This means you can access the internet no matter where you are for free for the first three years.

Some Added Versatility in the Lineup

There’s a new CR-V coming to town and it’s ready to take you out on the trails. The 2026 model year will have the first CR-V TrailSport Hybrid. This new trim will have a rugged style and equipment to back it up. All-terrain tires will give you extra traction on gravel surfaces, and it comes standard with all-wheel drive.
Features such as the silver skid garnish, black rear spoiler, and black door handles give this CR-V it’s rugged look. While orange TrailSport badging make it stand out from the other trims.

Powertrain Choices for Every Need

The standard powertrain for the 2026 Honda CR-V is a 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 190 horsepower. It works with a continuously variable automatic transmission, and you can choose between all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.
The new TrailSport Hybrid and other hybrids in the lineup uses a two-motor setup that’s paired with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. These all combine to deliver 204 horsepower.

Top-Notch Safety

When you find your next CR-V at a Honda dealer, you can feel confident that it has the systems to make your drive safer. The Honda Sense suite of advanced driver aids includes everything from a blind-spot information system to lane-departure warning, automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control.
Forward collision warning is another standard system, and it has a driver attention monitor to help make sure you take a break when you’re drowsy. All these advanced safety systems add to the full suite of air bags that will protect you if an accident does occur.
