The 2019 Ram HD models were the hit of the Detroit Auto Show and Ram made sure we knew how much power we could expect from these trucks.
While we thought the Ram team was done when the doors were closed on the auto show and the Ram models returned to where they came from, the fact is, there’s one version of the 2019 Ram HD models that we didn’t learn about at this show. This new version could be everything you want in an amazing truck.
The Sport Package for the Ram HD
The fact is, you shouldn’t get overwhelmed with excitement about the new Sport Package that’s being offered for the Ram HD. This new package isn’t going to give you an SRT engine or a tuned suspension for this big truck. This new package does give you a serious set of trim pieces that make this truck look great and offer you more of the features and qualities you want when it’s time to get behind the wheel and take a drive in the big truck that you want to enjoy.
When you choose the Sport Package for this truck, you’ll see the bumpers, door handles, and grille surround all changed from chrome to be colored in the same paint as the body. On the inside, the cabin receives a black interior finish with piano black trim pieces. There is one upgrade for the technology with this package to give you a set of parking assist sensors that come standard with it. With this package, you have more of the features you’ll love and the alerts you need when it’s time to park your truck wherever you need to.
How Can You Get the Sport Package
In order to have this new package added to the Ram HD you choose, you need at least the Big Horn trim. Other trims that are offered with the SportPackage are the Lone Star and Laramie trims to give you the combination of items that make sense for you to have the features and qualities you want when you head out for a drive. We don’t have the pricing for this new trim or the trucks that can wear the package yet, but you can expect them to be similar to what we had for the 2018 models.
