Six Levels of Driving in the Hyundai Veloster

Hyundai Veloster

The Hyundai team gives us a second chance at making the Veloster the small and affordable sports car that we want to drive.
While the first generation was a bit lackluster, the current Veloster is interesting, intense, active, and engaging to give you the driving pleasure you’re looking for. There are six different versions of the Veloster to give you the variety of driving levels you want to enjoy. Let’s take a look at the Veloster models and see what’s offered.

Before We Jump In

Before we review each of the trims, we should go over the power levels offered. There are three different engines for you to have the drive you want with a variety of transmissions as well. The base engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder model that gives you 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque to give you the most fuel mileage for your drive. The Turbo models all use a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pushes out 201 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Veloster N models make use of an amazing 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 250 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine only uses a six-speed manual transmission during the drive. If you add the Performance Package, you will have 275 horsepower to give you more power for the fun on the track.

Hyundai Veloster 2.0

This base version of the Hyundai Veloster gives you a great price and can be the car you turn to when you want a version of this car to drive every day. You’ll love the shape, style, and quality of this model. Enjoy the safety of forward-collision avoidance and lane-keep assist when you let this car be the one you drive.
Get connected to the infotainment system through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and experience the ride on a set of 17-inch alloy wheels when you choose this base model. When you want a sports car but you don’t want to spend a lot, this is the version of the Veloster that can be perfect for you.

Hyundai Veloster 2.0 Premium

Moving up just one position in the model lineup, the Hyundai Veloster 2.0 Premium has the same powertrain as the base model, but it gives you more equipment for the drive. This version allows you to have wireless device charging, blind-spot collision warning, a wide sunroof, and an eight-speaker Infinity audio system that will offer you the pure musical sounds you’re sure to love when you’re out on the road.
Check out the eight-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system when you select this version of the Veloster to drive. You’ll love the connection and the features you find in this car and the fact that you still have one of the most efficient versions of the Veloster to take out for a drive every day.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec

The starting point for the turbo models of the Hyundai Veloster is the Turbo R-Spec model. This car has the 1.6-liter engine and offers you more power and performance than what you find in the Base and Premium trims. Enjoy the addition of the sport suspension, sport exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels, and high beam assist.
Drive home in this Veloster Turbo R-Spec and you’ll show off the set of LED headlights that are positioned in the front of the car to give you the look you want to offer.
